Jacqui is an Australian artist whose work explores the tension between sensual femininity and female rage. Growing up in the late 90's early 2000's, her work is influenced by toxic diet culture, subtle and not-so-subtle misogyny and the power of empowerment. Her work aims to create a space for those who have, at any point, fallen victim to the thorns of the patriarchy and are now seeking self-empowerment.
Given juxtaposition is one of her favourite words, Jacqui's work involves soft, sensuous forms who are often found supporting more polarising topics. One doesn't have to give up their femininity in the fight for equality, even if it involves blood, sweat and tears.
A note from Jacqui:
"I have so many ideas and so much that I want to give back to the communities that have made me feel seen. I want others to feel empowered to be their unapologetic self and support others to do the same.
I know my output may be slower given I have other commitments outside my craft, but watch this space for some incredible series to come!" - 2025.
Jacqui is always on the lookout for fun and exciting projects that align with her passions. If you are a band, musician, photographer, videographer or a creative who would like to work with her, please get in touch!
